April, 2006 LLN Peer Panel
This month's questions:

published:  April 18, 2006

published:  March 22, 2006

There is much discussion concerning the graying of the current library leadership and the leadership gap that retirements will create in the next five to ten years.  We asked our panel to comment  on:
  • Their experiences in identifying and developing tomorrow's library leaders.  Programs and processes that work - and don't work- in the areas of:
  • Succession Planning
  • Job/career Planning
  • Mentoring
  • Training
  • Recruiting
  • What is needed (that doesn't exist) in the way of new programs and processes
