The topic this month is “Recommended Reading.”
We asked our panel to cite books they had read that they would
recommend to their peers. We also asked that they specify how
these books had affected how they go about their jobs. We think

Real men aim for maximum gadgetude
Some
call it “information literacy.” Others call it “de-mystifying the
library.” Still others refer to “outreach” and other marketing oriented
terminology. Whatever you call it, we asked the Peer Panel to suggest
what they think works best in communicating to the constituents that
the library: • Contains lots of good stuff • Is really easy to use • Has staff that really like to help users discover what they are looking for • Exists to enrich their lives
