Welcome to the Library Leadership Network!

The Library Leadership Network (LLN) exists to provide library leaders with a variety of fresh, relevant and innovative ideas to help them succeed in these challenging times. Through a variety of services, we provide information and tools that are both timely and practical, designed to solve problems and create greater awareness.

Our e-publication, The LLN Commons, not only provides help to librarians in their roles as managers, but also serves as a community sounding board for new ideas and opinions concerning the important leadership issues of today. In addition to providing the reader with the latest ideas and experiences of peers and industry observers, The LLN Commons offers many regular features that are both entertaining and highly informative:

Leader’s Digest: A weekly summary of articles and events, inside and outside the library “space,” designed to make sure library leaders are aware of relevant developments and published materials.
The LLN Peer Panel: A monthly virtual panel meeting, where library leaders share their views on a wide variety of issues faced by today’s library leaders.
Holt’s Perspectives: The sharp and to-the-point observations of Glen Holt, one of our best known library leaders and LLN correspondent-at-large.
Jamie LaRue Speaks: Published articles that demonstrate highly effective communication between a library director and his constituents.
